NEW DELHI : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is organizing a virtual conclave on October 4 to promote mental health awareness within schools across the country. The announcement comes following the success of the national counselors’ conclave held recently.
“In observance of World Mental Health Week (4th October to 10th October 2024), and following the successful National Counselors’ Conclave on “Shaping the Landscape of Well-Being in Schools” held on 11th September 2024, CBSE is organizing another virtual Conclave on 4th October 2024. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote mental health awareness and support within school communities across the country,” the board said in an official notice.
The conclave will be held on topics including global support systems for school mental health, strategies for supporting students with psychosocial challenges, and leadership in mental health.
In line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the session aims to empower school leaders and counselors to address psychosocial needs of the students effectively.
