NEW DELHI: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will close the registration window for Class 1 admission 2024 today, April 15, 2024. Parents and guardians who want to enrol their children in Class 1 can fill the KVS admission form through the official website, kvsangathan.nic.in. The KVS Class 1 admission link 2024 will remain active till 5 pm.

As per the schedule, the KVS first provisional list of selected candidates will be displayed on April 19, 2024. The second provisional list will be available on April 29 and the third list on May 8, 2024.

The selection of students will be made in the order given below-

  • RTE
  • From Service Priority Category (1 and 2) only
  • Shortfall of reservation quota after admission in both the above criteria.

The revised timeline for the secondary notification regarding offline registrations for admissions under RTE Provisions, SC, ST, and OBC (NCL), will commence on May 8 and conclude on May 15, 2024, in the event of insufficient online applications.

The criteria for admission to Class 1 is that the child must have reached 6 years of age by March 31 of the academic year in which admission is being sought. Children born on April 1 will also be taken into consideration.

Admission from April 16 to April 29

KVS Class 2 onwards list will be release on April 15, and admission will be conducted from April 16 to April 29, 2024. Parents should note submit multiple applications for the same child to a single Vidyalaya. If multiple registration forms are received for one child at the same Kendriya Vidyalaya, only the last application will be considered for the admission process.

In Kendriya Vidyalayas with a double shift system, each shift will be treated as a separate Vidyalaya for admission purposes, according to a statement on the KVS website.
