University of Manchester offers scholarships to Indian students for September 2024 intake
Indian students are offered scholarships ranging between £21,000 (Rs 18,91,806) and £2,000 (Rs 1,80,172) for UG and PG courses.

NEW DELHI: The University of Manchester has announced a number of scholarships for Indian students for the September 2024 intake. These scholarships will be awarded to Indian students on the basis of academic merit to help pursue undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) studies at the university.
The scholarships from the University of Manchester include Global Futures scholarship, Humanities Bicentenary scholarship and Humanities International Excellence scholarship. All these scholarships will be provided in the form of tuition fee reductions.
Angelia Wilson, associate dean at the University of Manchester, stated: "India is our strategic academic partner. Offering scholarships to Indian students is an investment in cross-cultural exchange between England and India. The University of Manchester is committed to its social responsibility in providing these scholarships with all the world-class facilities. This will form a diverse community of students at the university."

Global Futures Scholarship - This scholarship is open to all international students, including Indian students who are seeking admission at Manchester University. A total of 100 merit-based scholarships worth £21,000 (Rs 18,91,806) will be offered to UG students and 100 merit-based scholarships worth £8,000 (Rs 7,20,688) are offered to PG students.
Eligibility for UG students - Applicants must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2024 with qualifications such as the IB Diploma, Advanced Placement, or Indian Standard XII from the boards of Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat. The last date for applying is April 14, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by April 30, 2024.
Eligibility for PG students - Applicants will be considered based on their merit and the quality of their scholarship application. The last date for applying is April 26, 2024, and successful applicants will be notified by May 31, 2024.
Humanities Bicentenary Scholarship - These scholarships provide financial aid based on academic performance and excellence in the program application. They are very limited in quantity. UG students are offered £2,000 (Rs 1,80,172) every year for their study at the university. PG students are offered £10,000 (Rs 9,00,860) for one year of study at the university.
Eligibility for UG students - Applicants should have completed 3 years of study and be enrolled in the School of Arts, Languages and Culture, and the School of Environment, Education and Development.
Eligibility for PG students - Applicants' academic merit and personal profile strength are taken into consideration. These scholarships are available to the School of Arts, Languages and Culture, the School of Social Sciences, and the School of Environment, Education and Development.
Humanities International Excellence Scholarship - Only students pursuing humanities disciplines at the postgraduate level at the university are eligible for this scholarship.
Eligibility - Applicants should have a 60%-70% score in their UG studies from any Indian institution and should have an offer to study at the University of Manchester.
