NEW DELHI: Airbnb and Leverage Edu join hands to provide short-term housing options to Indian students. The collaboration aims to raise awareness among Indian students planning to study abroad about Airbnb as a convenient option for temporary accommodation.

As per an official press release, the Ministry of External Affairs indicates that over 1.33 million Indian students are currently studying abroad and projections indicate that this number could reach 2 million by 2027, making India the world's largest source of international students.

The general manager of Airbnb India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, Amanpreet Bajaj said that, through this partnership, Leverage Edu will integrate Airbnb's short-term rental options into its student services platform, making it easier for students to find suitable accommodations.

“This could be in the pre-phase when they are assessing or evaluating universities or even when they finally arrive in the host country and may still be in the process of finalizing their permanent housing. Our diverse range of listings can provide a comfortable, home-like environment during this crucial period,” he said.
