IIM Raipur, SIDBI launch certificate programme in entrepreneurship and new venture creation; application open

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has launched the advanced certificate programme in entrepreneurship and new venture creation, known as the “SWAVALAMBAN Skill to Enterprise Model (STEM).” This 18-month programme, launched in partnership with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), is designed to equip 30 early-stage entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop and grow successful business ventures.

SWAVALAMBAN programme overview

As per the official press release, the SWAVALAMBAN programme is a comprehensive, blended-curriculum course that offers participants academic and professional mentorship at no cost. The programme brings together thirty entrepreneurs who seek hands-on training, providing them with an opportunity to learn from industry leaders and gain insights through real-time case studies. Interested candidates can apply for the management programme by August 30, at iimr-stem.iimraipur.edu.in. Interviews with applicants will begin on August 15.

Key features of the programme

The following are key features of the IIM Raipur's advanced certificate program in entrepreneurship and new venture creation.

• Blended learning experience: A combination of online and offline learning modules ensures a comprehensive and well-rounded education.
• Practical training: Participants will engage in practical exercises and case studies, allowing them to apply their learning directly to their ventures.
• One-on-one mentoring: An accomplished group of industry veterans will provide personalized guidance and support to entrepreneurs throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
• Academic modules: These will include field experiments, applied projects, and real-world case studies to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in participants.

Faculty

As per the IIM Raipur university press release, Satyasiba Das, the programme director, renowned for his experience in entrepreneurship education, will lead the programme alongside Professor Saroj Kumar Pani, the programme co-director, who brings expertise in venture creation and innovation. Professor S Ram Kumar, a program member, will contribute his knowledge in business strategy and development, while Munmun Panda, the programme coordinator, will oversee administration and provide support throughout the entire programme.
