New Delhi, May 20: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry will release the admit card of JIPMER 2019 for all successfully registered candidates on May 20. The admit card can be downloaded in online mode from the official website by entering one’s user id and password. An essential document for appearing in JIPMER 2019 exam, it will contain details like name and roll number of the candidate, date of birth, date and time of exam, exam venue and address. Additionally, it will also contain exam day guidelines.

JIPMER 2019 will be conducted for admission to 200 MBBS seats offered by JIPMER, Puducherry campus (150 seats) and JIPMER, Karaikal campus (50 seats). The exam is conducted at a national level across 120 cities and is attempted by some 2 lakh candidates every year.
How to download JIPMER admit card
Go to the official website - jipmer.edu.in
Click on the admit card download link given in the home page
This will redirect the candidate to a login window
Login by entering user id and password
Upon successful login, the admit card will be displayed on screen in downloadable pdf format
Check that all the details mentioned on it are correct and legible
Download and take a printout.
Documents candidates need to carry alongside JIPMER 2019 admit card
On the day of the exam, apart from JIPMER admit card, the candidate also needs to bring the following documents:
Aadhar Card/e-Aadhar Card/Passport
Photocopy of valid photo ID proof
Any candidate who fails to bring the above listed documents may be barred from appearing in the exam.

JIPMER 2019 exam day guidelines
There will be tight security arrangements at the exam venue, which will take time. So, one must reach the venue to avoid inconvenience.
Please also note that after scheduled last entry time no candidate will be allowed inside the exam hall.
It is recommended that candidates do a recce of the exam centre a day before the exam to learn about traffic conditions, distance of the exam centre, etc.
Adoption of unfair practices in the exam hall is strictly prohibited and any candidate found to be guilty will be disqualified from the admission process.
When reporting for the exam, the candidate must bring with him/her the admit card and other essential documents like valid photo id proof and Aadhaar/passport.
JIPMER 2019 exam pattern
The exam will be conducted in computer-based mode and will be of two and a half hours duration. Question type is reason assertion based and MCQs. A total of 200 questions will be asked, including 60 each from physics, chemistry, and biology. There will also be questions from logical and quantitative reasoning and English comprehension (10 questions from each section).
For each correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks, while an incorrect response will carry a penalty of 1 mark.
