NEET SS 2024 exam pattern revised; here's what changed

NEW DELHI : The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced two changes in the exam pattern of the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2024. The exam will be conducted on March 29 and March 30, 2025.
According to the changes, there will be separate question paper groups for medical oncology and critical care medicine groups. Rest of the NEET SS 2024 exam pattern will remain the same as last year for all groups, the board informed.
NEET SS 2024: Changes in exam pattern
NBEMS has introduced the following changes in the examination scheme of NEET SS 2024:
- For admissions to DM/DrNB Medical Oncology, there shall be a separate question paper group (medical oncology group). The questions in the paper of this group shall be exclusively from the topics of medical oncology.
- For admissions to DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine, there shall be a separate question paper group (critical care medicine group). The questions in the paper of this group shall be exclusively from the topics of critical care medicine.
The medical board informed that the prior entry eligible feeder qualifications for admissions to DM, MCh, DrNB courses will be strictly in accordance with Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER), 2023 and any clarification or amendments issued by NMC from time to time in this regard.
NEET SS 2024 final exam schedule, eligibility criteria, fee structure, exam pattern, marking scheme, list of examination cities will be notified in the information bulletin which will be issued soon on the official website, natboard.edu.in.
