PM Internship Scheme 2024: Registration ends tomorrow; eligibility, selection process

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs , India will close the registration window for the PM Internship scheme 2024 tomorrow, November 10. Eligible candidates can apply for the Prime Minister internship on the official website, pminternship.mca.gov.in.
As per the eligibility criteria, applicants must not be enrolled in a full-time programme. Those having no family member earning more than Rs 8 lakh per annum and a government job are eligible. The age limit for candidates is 21 to 24 years.
Candidates who have passed Class 10, Class 12, possess a certificate from an ITI, hold a diploma from a polytechnic institute, or are graduates with degrees such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma, etc. are eligible to apply for the internships.
PM Internship Scheme: Registration
There is no registration or application fee for PM Internship. During the registration, candidates will be given a browsing facility for preferred sectors, roles, locations, and other criteria. They will be required to select up to five internship opportunities based on their preferences.
Successfully registered candidates will get internships in different roles across sectors including IT and software development, banking and financial services, oil, gas & energy, metals & mining, FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), telecom, infrastructure & construction, retail & consumer durables, cement & building materials, automotive, pharmaceutical, aviation & defence, manufacturing & industrial, chemical, media, entertainment & education, agriculture and allied, consulting services, textile manufacturing, gems and jewellery, travel & hospitality and healthcare.
Under the internship scheme, the company will pay Rs 500 every month and report the payment on the portal. Following this, the government will release Rs 4,500 which would be disbursed to the candidates through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The duration of the internship would be 12 months.
