TN 10th Board Exam 2026: The Class 10 Science paper concluded today from 10 am with students finding the paper easy. Updates on timings, pattern, answer key, timetable, and analysis

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has concluded the Tamil Nadu Class 10 (SSLC) Science examination today at 1:15 PM across the state. The exam was conducted in a single shift, following the prescribed structure of Part I (12 MCQs), Part II (2-mark questions), Part III (4-mark questions), and Part IV (7-mark long-answer questions).
Initial student reactions indicate that the paper was largely easy and student-friendly. The 2-mark, 4-mark, and 7-mark questions were reported to be straightforward and manageable. Students also expressed confidence about the multiple-choice section, with some stating they were able to attempt all 12 one-mark questions correctly. Overall, the paper was seen as balanced and scoring.
Students were required to carry their TN Class 10 hall ticket to the examination centre, as entry was not permitted without it. A 10-minute reading time was provided from 10:00 AM to 10:10 AM to go through the question paper, followed by a 5-minute window until 10:15 AM to verify personal details. Writing officially began at 10:15 AM.
Candidates were instructed to sit in their designated seats and strictly follow invigilators’ guidelines. Carrying mobile phones, electronic devices, or any unauthorised materials into the examination hall was strictly prohibited.
The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu does not release official answer keys for board examinations. However, several coaching institutes and subject experts share paper analysis and unofficial answer once the exam is concluded. These solutions help students review the questions and estimate their probable scores based on their responses.
Meanwhile, subject matter experts and students noted that the paper was easy and manageable, with most questions being straightforward and within the syllabus, making it a scoring paper for well-prepared candidates.
