UP NEET UG Seat Allotment Result 2024: Options available

In the UP NEET UG counseling process, the terms slide, float, and freeze are options available to candidates after seat allotment. These options allow students to either accept or seek a better seat in the next round of counseling. Here's what each option means:

1. Freeze: The candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and wants to confirm it. The candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not wish to participate in further rounds of counseling.

2. Float: The candidate accepts the current allotment but is open to upgrading to a higher preference if a seat becomes available in the subsequent rounds.

3. Slide: The candidate is willing to accept a seat in a better branch/course within the same college. The candidate retains the current college allotment but opts for an upgrade to a preferred course within that college.
