IIM CAT 2025 answer key challenge window closes tonight; result date, score vs percentile

CAT 2025: IIM Kozhikode will publish the final answer key in mid-December on the official website, iimcat.ac.in, and the results in the first week of January 2026.

This year, around 2.58 lakh candidates appeared for the CAT exam 2025 out of 2.95 lakh registered candidates. CAT exam recorded approximately 86% attendance this year . Candidates will be able to raise objections by logging in to the objection link using their CAT application login ID and password.
The CAT provisional answer key for the exam held on November 20 was issued on December 4 and the challenge window was made available on December 8 at 12 noon. “For the timely release of exam results, objections raised through any other channel or outside the specified time window will not be accepted,” IIM Kozhikode said. The CAT answer key objection fee has been hiked from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500.
As per the tentative schedule announced earlier, the CAT 2025 result date will fall in the first week of January. However, before the CAT results, the institute will publish the final answer key in mid-December, as per past trends.
There was no change in the exam pattern this year. CAT question paper 2025 consisted of three sections – verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC) with 24 questions, data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR) with 22 questions, and quantitative ability (QA) with 22 questions – taking the total to 68.

CAT score vs percentile 2025
A score above 99 percentile in CAT 2025 alone will not guarantee admission to MBA programmes in IIMs. However, it is the first qualifying criteria to be called for a personal interview and written ability test (WAT) at IIMs. Candidates can check the CAT score vs percentile here.
