NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has added Abu Dhabi as an exam city for the Joint Entrance Examination -Main (JEE Main 2024). The JEE Main 2024 exam city has been reduced to 300 compared to last year. After the Abu Dhabi addition, the total number has increased to 301.

The JEE Main application form 2024 is ongoing and the last date to register is November 30. The exam city intimation slip will be published in the second week of January. The JEE Main 2024 session 1 will be conducted between January 24 to February 1.
Engineering aspirants will have to submit the JEE Main 2024 form on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
The testing agency has received a few representations from the candidates of Tamil Nadu state who have passed Class 10 or Class 12 examination in the year 2021. As per the state education department’s order, all the Class 10, 12 students were declared pass in the academic year 2020-21 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

No marks were given on the Tamil Nadu Class 10, 12 mark sheet. Only ‘pass’ is printed in all subjects with disclaimer ““As per G.O. (Ms) No. 48, School Education (G.E.) department dated: 25.02.2021, all candidates who studied SSLC in the academic year 2020-21 are declared passed.”
The NTA has decided that during the filling up of the online JEE application form, when candidates selects ‘Passing year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board, the result mode field will be disabled and the associated fields for marks and CGPA will also be invisible. The same rule will be applicable for candidates who have already registered and paid the fees.
