NTA has closed the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 on February 25 at 9 pm, while the correction window will open from February 27 and will remain open till February 28. Candidates can make correction on permitted fields only.

The JEE Main 2026 April exam is scheduled to be held from April 2 to April 9, 2026, in two shifts — 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline.

Students who have qualified in the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam can appear for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. Candidates can choose to appear for either one or both sessions of JEE Main 2026. If they choose to appear for both sessions, highest score obtained will be used to decide their merit and ranking

After qualifying the JEE Advanced exam, candidates can get admission in IIT through counselling conducted by the JoSAA. Students can get admission in BTech courses by NIT, IIITs, and Government-funded Technology Institutes, based on their JEE Main 2026 scores.

The JEE Mains 2026 session 1 results were announced on February 16, 2026, for 13.5 lakh students. Total 12 students topped in the JEE Mains 2026 session 1, out of which 11 belonged to the general category, while only one candidate was from the Other Backwards Classes - Non Creamy Layer (OBC - NCL) category.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2: Correction window

As NTA has announced that it will open the correction window on February 27, candidates can follow the steps below to make corrections to their application forms, if required;

  • Access the Official Website: Visit the JEE Main official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  • Sign In: Click on the “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Correction” link and log in using your Application Number and Password.

  • Verify Identity: Carefully read the instructions and complete OTP verification sent to your registered mobile number or email ID.

  • Make Necessary Changes: On the dashboard, select the “Correction in Application Form” option to update permitted fields.

  • Pay Additional Fee (If Required): If modifications such as category change or additional paper selection lead to an increased fee, pay the balance amount through Net Banking, Debit,Credit Card, or UPI.

  • Submit the Revised Form: Review all updates carefully before final submission, as no further corrections will be allowed once submitted.

  • Save Confirmation: Download and print the updated confirmation page for future reference.
