It is advised that candidates keep their Aadhaar/UDID information and category certificates updated as per NTA guidelines before submitting the application form. The NTA begin the registration for the NEET UG 2026 from February 8 and will conclude the registration on March 8, 2026. As per the notification, the NEET UG 2026 exam will be conducted on May 3, 2026. The NEET UG 2026 will be held in offline (pen-and-paper) mode, and the exam will consist of 180 questions, with each question carrying four marks.
NEET UG 2026: Steps to register
To register for NEET UG 2026, Candidates must follow the steps given below to register for NEET UG 2026:
- Open the official website: neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the New Registration.
- Read the instructions carefully and generate login credentials.
- Log in using the application number and password.
- Fill in personal information, academic details, and exam city preferences.
- Upload the required documents as per the instructions.
- Pay the application fee online and submit the NEET UG 2026 application form.
NEET UG 2026 Registration: New application rules
According to the latest information from the National Testing Agency (NTA), candidates can check the new application rules for NEET UG 2026 registration:
- Candidates need to carry Aadhaar based Ekyc for identity verification.
- A live photograph will be captured during the NEET UG 2026 application submission, which will be compared to the Aadhaar photograph.
- In case the live photograph doesn't match the Aadhaar card photo, Candidates will have to upload a valid supporting certification.
- Candidates will be assigned NEET UG exam centres based on their permanent/present address.

Before beginning the NEET UG 2026 application process, students are required to keep the following necessary documents prepared to avoid any issues during the registration process:
