NEET PG Counselling 2024 Live: MCC schedule soon at mcc.nic.in; state-wise dates, SC hearing updates

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by 19 NEET PG aspirants seeking transparency in the results published by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) on October 25. Meanwhile, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and a few state counselling committees have started the NEET PG counselling 2024.

While candidates await the Supreme Court decision on NEET PG results 2024, confusion mounts regarding MCC NEET PG counselling schedule 2024 as the official notification is yet to be uploaded on the portal, mcc.nic.in.

Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand NEET PG counselling 2024 is underway. On the other hand, five states including Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan have paused the NEET PG counselling for admission into MD, MS and other courses as the SC decision on the exam is still pending.

The Union health minister JP Nadda recently said that the postgraduate medical seats have increased by 134% from 31,185 before 2014 to 73,111 now. The NEET PG results 2024 were declared by the NBE on August 23 for a total of 2,16,094 candidates.
