NEW DELHI : The Supreme Court is likely to hear the petitions filed by the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 aspirants against the alleged irregularities in the exam on October 25, as per the official website of SC. Candidates have been seeking a direction to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to release the NEET PG answer keys and normalization method used to prepare the NEET PG 2024 results.

In the last NEET PG Supreme Court hearing in September, a bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud observed that changing the NEET PG exam pattern at the last moment is ‘very unusual’. The apex court sought response from NBEMS and the centre within a week.

Students have been questioning the transparency of the exam which was held in two shifts for the first time, after scoring lower marks than expected, cases of alleged paper leak and exam postponement.

NEET PG 2024 result

Notably, NBE declared NEET PG result 2024 in August but didn’t release the answer keys and cut-offs. Since the exam was conducted in more than one shift, the exam agency informed that it will use the normalization procedure used by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for its exams.

NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted on August 11 for a total of 2,28,540 applicants at 416 examination centres across the country, for admission to postgraduate medical programmes such as MD, MS offered by government and private medical colleges.
