Karnataka has the highest number of PG seats with 8,323, followed by Maharashtra with 6,992, Tamil Nadu with 6,306 and Uttar Pradesh with 6,082 seats.

Marks secured by candidates in their MBBS professional examinations or FMGE, wherever applicable for NEET PG 2026 tie-breaking, will be verified with the original documents during the counselling or admission process.

The NEET PG 2027 exam date has not been announced yet by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The board has not released the 2027 information bulletin or exam schedule so far. 

The MCC NEET PG counselling registration fee in the previous year was as follows:

• General category (AIQ/Central University): Rs. 1,000
• SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates: Rs. 500
• Deemed University candidates: Rs. 5,00

The NBEMS NEET PG answer key was released on October 1 by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Candidates can check the answer key through the official NBEMS website using their login credentials.

The NMC has released the NEET PG 2026 seat matrix, with 63,177 postgraduate medical seats across government, private and deemed institutions. Of these, 58,468 seats are available through NEET PG. The NMC seat matrix 2026 NEET PG will be used for the upcoming counselling process.
