NEW DELHI: The State Selection Board (SSB) of Odisha Police will close the registration window for the recruitment of various constable vacancies tomorrow, October 30. Interested candidates who have not yet registered can fill the Odisha police constable application 2024 form through the official website at odishapolice.gov.in.

The application deadline was previously October 13, but it was extended due to Puja vacations. The Odisha Police selection board said the application form correction window will open after the registration window closes.

Earlier, the total number of vacancies to be filled was 1,360. However, the board increased the number of vacancies to be filled through the recruitment examination. As per the notification, the board has increased a total of 720 vacancies across Odisha Police battalions. With this, the total number of vacancies to be filled through Odisha Police constable recruitment 2024 drive is 2,030.

Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria

The minimum age for candidates is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 23 years, with the cut-off date for determining age being January 1, 2024. Reserved category candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit.

Candidates must have completed at least Class 10 or hold a Matriculation pass certificate, with Odia included as one of the subjects in their final examination. Applicants should be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Odia.

Candidates must be Indian citizens of good character and in sound health, free from any significant physical defects or deformities. Additionally, applicants are prohibited from having more than one living spouse, although exemptions may apply under personal law or other circumstances.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Computer-Based Recruitment Exam, followed by the Measurement of Physical Standards, the Physical Efficiency Test, a Driving Test, and a Medical Examination. Those who pass the written exam will proceed to the next stages of the recruitment process.
