UGC invites applications for telecom excellence awards 2024
Technical institutions, universities can apply for the the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Excellence Awards 2024 at awards.gov.in by September 30.

NEW DELHI : The University of Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications from universities, technical institutes, and other educational institutions for the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Excellence Awards 2024. The awardees would receive Rs 2 lakh, a shawl, a citation, and a plaque. Additionally, the winners will be provided with financial aid of Rs 7,000 for boarding, lodging, and other incidental expenses. The last date for submission of applications is September 30, 2024.
The nominees and recommendations for the award will be accepted from the institutions on the National Award Portal – awards.gov.in. All the required information should be submitted detailing relevant information as per the portal format.
The award is instituted by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, and contributes to telecom innovations, services, skilling, and manufacturing.
As per the UGC guidelines, only five awards will be given in a year, subject to suitable candidates being selected by the award committee.

All Indian citizens as well as organisations, and institutes registered in India are eligible to apply.

There is no age limit.

The awards shall be given on the basis of contributions made and work done in India during the last three years.

Original copies of certificates have to be submitted to the department upon asking.

Applications with incomplete or inaccurate information will be rejected.
