UGC NET 2024 Results: NSUI demands scorecard
Meanwhile, the National Students’ of India (NSUI) urged the Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan to address the delay in the declaration of UGC NET 2024 results. In a letter to the minister, NSUI president Varun Choudhary sought his attention to anxiety amongst more than 9 lakh aspirants due to the prolonged delay in results.
The student body representative argued how PhD aspirants are suffering due to pending UGC NET result 2024 . “The exams, initially scheduled for June 2024, were rescheduled to July and August after paper leak. Now, over two months later, the results are still pending. This delay is not just an administrative issue but a serious setback for students at critical stages in their academic and career plans. With the recent directive mandating that PhD admissions be based solely on UGC NET/JRF scores, students' stress has only intensified, as they face uncertainty regarding their research and academic futures,” the letter read.
The NSUI president further urged the education ministry to address this issue immediately citing that the mental well-being and academic careers of lakhs of students are at stake. A swift release of results will provide much-needed clarity and relief to students, he stated.
