WBJEE 2024 to be held on April 28; eligibility, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the WBJEE 2024 on April 28, 2024. The WBJEE will be held for admission in engineering, technology, pharmacy and architecture programmes of different universities and colleges in West Bengal.

The WBJEEB will soon release the schedule of WBJEE 2024 on the official website wbjeeb.nic.in. Students applying for the exam should not be less than 17 years on December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit but for the Marine Engineering programme, the upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2024.
Candidates applying for the WBJEE 2024 should have passed Class 12 as regular students from a recognised board with physics and chemistry mathematics or biology or computer science or biotechnology or computer application as compulsory subjects. Students should have secured 45% aggregate marks in the three subjects. However, candidates belonging from SC, ST, OBC and PwD categories will get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks of the qualifying exam. Students appearing for Class 12 board exam can also apply for the exam.
WBJEE registration fee
Candidates belonging to unreserved category will have to pay an admission fee of Rs 500 while those from SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B categories will have to submit a Rs 400 application fee.

The WBJEE 2024 will have 155 questions in three sections – Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3. Students will get two marks for every correct answer. In category 1, each incorrect response will lead to a loss of .25 mark while .5 mark will be deducted in Category 2. There will be no negative marking in Category 3.
