NIT NIRF Rankings 2024: List of top National Institutes of Technology in last three years

NEW DELHI: The ministry of education will announce the top universities and colleges in India under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2024) on August 11. 8,688 institutes registered for the NIRF rankings last year. The NIRF rankings 2024 will be announced for 13 different categories – overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental, innovation, agriculture and allied sectors, and research institutions.

As per the NIRF engineering ranking list of the previous year, NIT Meghalaya and NIT Manipur were featured in the top 100 engineering institutions, at 72 and 95, respectively. NIT Arunachal Pradesh was placed in the 101-150 band, and NIT Sikkim was placed in the 151-200 rank band.

NIRF overall rankings

NIT Tiruchirappalli has maintained its position at rank 21 for the past two years. The overall NIRF ranking of NIT Karnataka, which was 32 and 27 in the previous years, dropped to 38 last year. NIT Calicut grabbed rank 54 and entered in the top 100 best institutes in India.
